Sea Freight

There are two main modes of shipping goods which are extensively used. Sea freight is a less expensive option than air freight, especially for heavy or bulky items, although it has a longer lead-time.

Our experienced sea freight department offers you the best possible advice and guidance on all aspects of transport logistics, whether you are looking to ship Full Container Loads (FCL) or Lesser Container Loads (LCL).

Through our wide range of global international logistics partners who are strategically aligned to the shipping companies, we provide a network of solutions from port to port which includes export and import groupage, transportation logistics from premises to port, loading and unloading, freight consolidation and all documentary requirements in line with freight forwarding services.

Charges are calculated in cubic metres (CBM) and this will help determine the mode of transport such as FCL or LCL. As a rule, the various FCL sizes and their respective capacities are based on 20' (28CBM), 40' (58CBM) and 40 H/C (68 CBM). This can change dependant on commodity and how the goods are packed; our expert team will advise you at every stage in the shipping process to make sure the best commercial decision for you is taken.

The process is simple - we arrange collection of your cargo at origin, either directly from your factory or production site. Alternatively your supplier can deliver to our agent's receiving warehouse. All export documentation is prepared, ensuring packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, GSP certificates or export licenses are all in order prior to dispatch. Upon arrival at the destination port we arrange full Customs clearance and arrange delivery to your chosen location via line haulage (standard) or merchant haulage (special).
